Schedule & Objective of our Summer Pops Series The objective of our CKCB Summer Pops Series is to hearken back to the great and storied legacy of Bands in America – presenting good music in informal venues – where the enjoyment of the audience members and ensemble members alike was and is the primary concern. 2008 Summer Rehersal Schedule
	Rehearsals resume this Thursday, May 14th at 8:00 PM as we begin wor on our 2008 SPS. Due to schedule conflicts at Transylvania – all rehearsals this summer will be in Georgetown We shall be using our modified summer rehearsal schedule 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM with no breaks

Since 1994, Peter LaRue has served as the Music Director & Conductor of the CKCB. Mr. Les Anderson is the Assistant Conductor and Dr. Lee Patrick serves as Chair of the Executive Board for the ensemble. Celebrating its 27th year, the Central Kentucky Concert Band is sustained and has benefited materially from support by the Kentucky Arts Council, the Lexington Arts & Cultural Council, Georgetown College, Asbury College, Transylvania University and the many "Friends of the CKCB" from across the Bluegrass. We would like to thank you for your continuing support of the Central Kentucky Concert Band, and the important role which adult music-making plays in our greater Lexington community. The Central Kentucky Concert Band, now in its 27th year, is widely recognized as the premier, adult concert band in the Commonwealth, as well as one of the finest ensembles of its nature in the southeastern United States. Since 1994, Peter LaRue has served as the Music Director and Conductor of the Central Kentucky Concert Band. Mr. Les Anderson is the Associate Conductor and Dr. Lee Patrick is serving as the Interim Chair of the Executive Board. The CKCB has benefited historically from the support of the Kentucky Arts Council, the Lexington Arts and Cultural Council, the Scott County Arts Council, Georgetown College, Asbury College and Transylvania University.
